Greatest Gift Of All – Notecards

While I was pregnant with our second child, I began to recognize the real miracle of new life, and bringing a baby into this world. In my heart and mind, I began to think of the birth of our Lord and how Mary felt to be in a barn filled with animals that holy night Jesus was born. There came a defining moment and desire, that I felt ready to do this painting. With help, we staged this scene in our old barn, and used models from our church, clothing from a college theatre department, and a wooden crib that my husband built to make this painting a reality.
